It's difficult to describe our area and do the justice it deserves… So many impressions jostle in my mind.
Maybe you should ask the many birders and mountain bikers. Why do they choose to be around? Even before day break…

We live so close to the city, but ín the Bushveld. Dreaming time is at dusk, around a fire. Listening to Africa. Jackal in the distance and Fiery-necked Nightjar or Pearl-spotted Owlet, always close by. Don't be surprised to share your yard with a Small Spotted Genet or even a Porcupine!

You can either choose to live in a secure estate, secure nature reserve or have your own small holding or farm.

In sandy soil, you can build your dream house in a thicket of Silver-Cluster leaf's or Horn-Pod trees. In lower areas, with abundant surface water, you can be surrounded by beautiful Boekenhout or Combretum. In the higher areas, where magnificent conglomerate outcrops occur, Milkwood, Peeling Plane, Resin trees and Burkea, will be your neighbours.

More about numbers:

Expect more than 55 different indigenous trees (B. and P. van Wyk), and more than 400 bird species (Roberts).

Safety:

If all the normal precautions are in place, north-east of the Magaliesberg mountains is safer than many other places (Police statistics), hence the fact that this area is very much sought after.

Welcome to this area. Make yourself at home.
I am only a phone call away.
